Light a Candle
Wayne H. Tanner of South Glens Falls, NY passed away at Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness. He was 76.
Born August 18, 1936 in Granville NY to the late Harmond and Myrtle (Holcomb) Tanner.
After graduating from Granville Schools, Wayne joined the US Airforce, serving in Korea. Following his service, he was employed at NIBCO until retiring after 30+ years.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Shirley Prehoda of Granville.
Survivors include his brother Ronald Tanner of Truthville NY, his Sister Linda Parillo of Wilton NY. His four children, David Tanner of Hudson Falls, NY, Katherine Hopkins of Florida, Connie Wilson of South Glens Falls, NY, and Eugene Tanner of Hudson Falls, NY. Also his 8 grandchildren, Joshua Tanner of Schuylerville, NY. Shayne Tanner of Queensbury, NY. Michael Ripley of Florida and Sarah Ripley of Georgia, Ryan Wilson of Provo, UT, Morgan Wilson of Glens Falls, NY, Mary Keast of Queensbury, and Joelle Tanner of Glens Falls NY. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, his current wife and several stepchildren.
Services are being handled by Carleton Funeral Home in Hudson Falls, NY, burial will be in Gansevoort, NY.
His family suggests memorials be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project, or your local VFW post.
